How to prepare your Computer(s) & printers .
• Make sure all your important data is backed up!• Store the backup disk in a secure container. • Remove CDs and removal disks from all devices. • Insert an old floppy disk to lock the floppy drive. • Turn off the system and remove all cables. • Pack your computer (PC) in the box that it came in, or use a sturdy container with foam materials.•
Pack your printer, monitor, and peripherals in original oxes. • Remove ink cartridges from all printers! • Place ink cartridges in plastic containers. Keep them upright. • Lock down your scanner. Turn off the stereo or TV and remove all cables. •
If possible, carefully relocate your own flat screen TVs and stereo equipment in your car.•
Pack your devices in the box that they came in, or use a sturdy container with foam materials.•
Use mirror cartons for flat screen TVs. Be sure to protect your TV screen with bubble wrap.•
Remove the needle component from your stereo and secure or lock the stereo arm before moving.•
Place all periferial devices in a marked box so you can easily find them later.•
Call your cable company in advance to turn off your service the day of your move or the next renter will enjoy free service at your expense. |
